Actuarial Common Entrance Test

Actuarial Common Entrance Test (ACET)is an entrance exam by the Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI) for individuals who wish to pursue their careers as an actuary. It will give them the eligibility to become a member and appear for main Actuarial Science exams (Maths and Stats uptil class 12th level is prerequisite before opting for this course).

ACET is a 3 hour, 100 marks online exam which has 70 multiple choice questions with one correct
answer for each question.
Mathematics – 30 marks
Statistics – 30 marks
Data Interpretation – 15 marks
English – 15 marks
Logical Reasoning – 10 marks this is the content

    About Course

    Actuarial Common Entrance Test (ACET) is an entrance examination conducted by the Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI) for individuals who wish to pursue a career as an actuary. Qualifying ACET makes candidates eligible to become members of the Institute and appear for the main Actuarial Science examinations. A basic understanding of Mathematics and Statistics up to Class 12 level is recommended before opting for this course.

    ACET History:
    The entrance examination has been conducted by the Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI) since January 2012.

    New Structure of Examination

    1. ACET is a 3-hour online examination carrying 100 marks. The exam consists of 70 multiple-choice questions, each having one correct answer.
    2. Distribution of Questions:

      • 45 questions × 1 mark each
      • 20 questions × 2 marks each
      • 5 questions × 3 marks each
    3. Allocation of Marks:

      • Mathematics – 30 marks
      • Statistics – 30 marks
      • Data Interpretation – 15 marks
      • English – 15 marks
      • Logical Reasoning – 10 marks
    4. ACET is conducted on a single day in one slot only.
    5. There is no negative marking for incorrect answers.
