Actuarial Common Entrance Test (ACET) is an entrance exam by the Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI) for individuals who wish to pursue their careers as an actuary. It will give them the eligibility to become a member and appear for main Actuarial Science exams

Why ACET from The Academic Junction??
ACET History- Entrance Exam conducted by Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI) from January 2012 onwards
The New structure of Examination is:
1. ACET is a 3 hour, 100 marks online exam which has 70 multiple choice questions with one correct
answer for each question.
2. The distribution of questions will be:
45 questions – 1 mark each
20 questions – 2 marks each
05 questions – 3 marks each
3. The Allocation of Marks will be as under:
Mathematics – 30 marks
Statistics – 30 marks
Data Interpretation – 15 marks
English – 15 marks
Logical Reasoning – 10 marks
4. ACET will be conducted in a single day with one slot.
5. There will not be any negative marking for incorrect answers.

The following categories are admitted to the student membership on application and submission of documents:
- Fully qualified members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Institute of Cost Accountants of India and Institute of Company Secretaries of India
- MBA in Finance (Minimum 60% or equivalent grade)
- IIM Graduate
- BSc/MSc in Actuarial Science from Institute/ Colleges
- B.E from Institute (Minimum 60% or equivalent grade)
- IIT Graduates
- Fellow Member of Insurance Institute of India
- Passed two papers from any of the below actuarial bodies:
- Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA),UK
- Society of Actuaries (SOA), US
- Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS),US
- The Actuarial Society of South Africa (ASSA)
- Institute of Actuaries of Australia (IAAust)
- Qualified 1st year Bsc.,Msc. Actuarial science from Amity University
- Graduation and Post-graduation diploma in Actuarial Science (PGDAS)
- Graduation and Post-graduation diploma in Actuarial Statistics
- Bcom in Actuarial Management Affiliated to Bharathiar University
- Bachelor of Statistics (Honours) [B Stat (Hons)] from Indian Statistical Institute
- Bachelor of Mathematics (Honours) [B Math (Hons)] from Indian Statistical Institute
- Master of Statistics [M Stat] from Indian Statistical Institute
- Master of Mathematics [M Math] from Indian Statistical Institute
- Master of Science in Quantitative Economics [MS (QE)] from Indian Statistical Institute
