Program Details

About the Role

The Apprentice will support quarterly valuation and reserving activities within the Life & Health business. The role involves contributing to end-to-end actuarial reporting — from data preparation and modelling to validation and stakeholder reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and validating data for valuation models

  • Supporting model maintenance and implementation of assumptions

  • Running actuarial models, debugging, and validating outputs

  • Performing result analysis and reconciliation of reported numbers

  • Maintaining documentation and audit trails

  • Conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system/model updates

  • Supporting reporting actuaries and business stakeholders

  • Assisting in process improvements and special projects


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of insurance concepts

  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Commerce, Engineering, or related field

  • Cleared at least 1–2 actuarial exams

  • Enrolled as a student member of a recognized actuarial professional body (e.g., IAI, IFoA, SOA)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  • Strong analytical and communication skills


Eligibility Criteria (Mandatory)

  • Must have completed an undergraduate degree from an Indian University (Final-year students are not eligible)

  • Must hold a Provisional Degree Certificate / University Certificate / Consolidated Marksheet

  • Must not be pursuing or holding a Master’s degree

  • Must be a fresher (No prior full-time employment, apprenticeship, or contract experience)

  • Must have graduated within the last three years (July 2023 onwards – 2024 & 2025 graduates eligible)

  • Must not have an existing PF/UAN account
